The Moon Readings
We’re in collaboration once again with The Reading Series, an all-ages poetry open mic that aims to provide a safe space for people of all identities to share. Reading in the title references astrology, tarot, and other means of divinity; inviting spirit and ancestors to empower those who step to the mic. THE MOON READINGS, named after the respective Full Moon of each month, will be the series’ sixth season.

Featuring: Keys
Feeling their way through reacquaintance with their art, Keys (they/it) is a budding storyteller that weaves song and poetry into personal mythology and archival.
They seek to create art that shapeshifts with them and is armor, balm, and catalyst for them and their communities. Keys explores stewardship of the stories it holds and creates containers inviting others to do the same.
Accompanied by: Maetta
Mattea (it/they) is an artist who intends to express itself and “lay bare the questions which have been hidden by the answers.”(James Baldwin). They hope that the practice of art brings them towards a liberated world, without leaving the reality of the one it finds itself in now. born and raised in a place overindulged with sun, & it shows.
